Easy to make red velvet cupcakes, cake pops

What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear “Red velvet cupcake”? A beautiful red moist cake topped with swirled fresh cheese cream frosting with a sprinkle of red cake sponge that aroma of vanilla extract and strong cocoa powder that no one can resist.

If you are thinking about giving a surprise to your loved ones on Valentine this could be the best surprise for your valentines to add sweet memory that you can cherish throughout the year.

Not only reddish cupcakes but here we also share an easy recipe of red velvet cake pops to impress your kids, guests if you planning to arrange a kids' birthday party this will be the amazing dish you can serve to grab guest’s attention.

Prep time: 10-15 minutes

Cooking time: 20-25 minutes

Cupcake ingredients

  • Butter 100gm
  • Castor sugar 15gm
  • Vanilla essence 5ml
  • Condensed milk 200gm
  • Milk 75ml
  • Flour 125gm
  • Yogurt 55gm
  • Baking soda 1 tsp
  • Unsweetened Cocoa powder 1 tsp
  • Vinegar ½ tsp
  • Red Food color 1 tsp

For cream cheese frosting:

  • Unsalted Butter 150gm
  • Cream cheese 500gm
  • Vanilla extract 5ml
  • Lemon zest
  • Icing sugar 60gms
  • 1 pinch sea salt/Himalaya pink salt

Cake balls ingredients:

  • 3 tsp cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 almond bark
  • Melted dark chocolate

To make cupcake

  • Preheat the oven at 180 C and set cupcake papers in a cupcake pan.
  • Take a bowl and whisk cream, butter, castor sugar, add 4-5 drops of vanilla essence and whisk until fluffy.
  • Add condense milk accordingly, whisk all the ingredients mix them well.
  • Once all the ingredients are nicely combined, add flour, cocoa powder & mix it well.
  • Take a separate bowl to add yogurt, food color, vanilla extract, and mix it.
  • Now mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients together and combine them.
  • Distribute cupcake batter into cupcake molds.
  • Bake cupcake at 165 C for 15 minutes. insert a toothpick and if it comes out clean which means cupcakes are perfectly baked.

To make Cream cheese frosting

  • Take a bowl add unsalted butter, cream cheese, vanilla extract, lemon zest, icing sugar, pinch of salt, and whisk it until you get a fluffy and creamy consistency.
  • It’s ready to use. keep it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to get a good texture.

Serving method

  • Unmoulds cupcakes place it on a blue cupcake stand and top with cream cheese frosting, sprinkle some cake crumbs on top.
  • Buy a lovely pretty pink cupcake stand you can select a color according to the party theme.
  • Place this cupcake holder on the dessert table.

How to make Red velvet cake balls?

  • Take a large bowl add a cake sponge crumble it. now add cream cheese, powdered sugar, almond and combine them well.
  • Take a small portion of cake dough and roll it into small balls. keep it in the refrigerator to set for 2-3 hours.
  • Now melt dark chocolate add a little bit of butter to get glaze on the outer layer
  • Dip cake balls in melted chocolate use a fork to turn cake balls.
  • Freeze them for 3-4 hours. Garnish with lovely heart candy.
